Venue Type Matcher
Your CFO wants "something inspiring, not another hotel ballroom" — but inspiring can mean anything: a Berlin loft, a Cotswolds manor, a Lisbon palace, a vineyard outside Florence. Each comes with completely different AV constraints, F&B logistics, and price points. This
matcher walks through 6 questions used by European venue scouts and recommends the 3 venue types that fit your specific event, plus 3-5 sample cities for each. No ambiguity, no "it depends".

How to read your result
Use the top match as your starting search, the 2nd match as a fallback, and the 3rd as a creative wild card. Sample cities are starting points — every category has examples across most European destinations. The fit score (out of 18) tells you how confident the match is: 14+ is strong, 10-13 acceptable, below 10 means rethink one input.
3 next steps
- Run the RFP brief generator with the matched venue type.
- Send to 6-8 properties of the top match type.
- Score returned proposals with the scorer.

Frequently asked questions
How are matches scored?
Each venue type gets a score (0-3) on each of 6 dimensions: size, mood, goal, budget, days, AV. Total out of 18. Higher = better fit.
Why isn't 'cruise' or 'on-board' included?
This first version covers the 6 most-asked European categories. Cruise, glamping, and pop-up are in our backlog.
Can I customise the matcher?
Not in this free version. Easy RFP's paid plan allows custom venue-type matrices per company.
Is the sample city list exhaustive?
No — 3-5 cities are starting points. Every venue type has options in most European destinations.
How do I shortlist after picking a type?
Use the RFP brief generator to draft a structured ask, send to 6-8 properties of that type, then score responses.
